The California Gold Rush began in 1849, "Forty-Niners" led the gold rush, this is a quintessential Northern California subject with the Sierra mountans in the background. This fruit crate label was found during an estate sale in eastern Oregon by a pawn shop dealer. The gentleman who lived there brought them there from Southern California in the 1930s and they stayed in the attic for 75 years until dealer found them. The fruit crate labels were then sold to a collector.
